Bad-El-Kazar (legendary undead horde) is probably the ultimate healer to have Apothecary is great with GS but you still need AoE healing or lifesteal gear for sustain. You do need a good AoE healer for sustain, so Thenasil is a solid option. Ifrit (Void demonspawn) is the lesser version of doing what Athel does, but he doesn't have the affinity issues and has a attack down debuff which helps a little bit too. Tallia (Epic Sacred Order) is another choice, but harder to skill up than Athel will be, and her weaken debuff is on a 5 turn cooldown (with skillups) and Athels can be every turn (A1). Once you get Giant Slayer mastery, then Athel will be god-mode. He won't be as strong as other poison/burn/enemy max HP characters initially, but his weaken debuff will buff those other chars damage. Hard part is there are hardly any HP burn chars in the game, and most are legendary.Īthel is a good choice to level, if you have him, as he has weaken. But you can only have 1 HP Burn debuff up at a time. You probably only need 1 hero with HP Burn, but occasionally the ability is resisted and so having 2 chars (and manually attacking) is not so bad.
